We were honored to introduce Jim Crowe, President and CEO of Level 3 Communications, Inc., the first international communications company to fully leverage the power of Internet technology. Since founding Level 3 in 1997, Mr. Crowe has built the company into a Fortune 500 provider of both communications and information services, with more than $3 billion in revenue in 2002. Prior to Level 3, Mr. Crowe served as Chairman of WorldCom, following that company’s 1996, $14.3 billion merger with MFS Communications Company — which Mr. Crowe founded, took public and built into the largest competitive local carrier in the U.S. and Europe. Mr. Crowe serves on the Boards of Directors of Level 3 Communications, RCN Corporation and Commonwealth Telephone.
