Soccer
and basketball coach becomes Colorado's first Aerospace Advocate. The
new Aerospace Advocate also
gives presentations and demos to elementary school classes to promote
enthusiasm for space. So
how did this ordinary person, Trip Carter become Colorado's first Aerospace
Advocate?
First
of all, Trip Carter has an extraordinary background. His background includes
over a dozen years with Lockheed Martin. When Fred Thomson of Korn Ferry
was commissioned to locate the right candidate with a national search,
it was with great pleasure of both Governor Bill Owens and Secretary of
Technology Marc Holtzman, that the final selection was right here in Colorado.

If
you heard Marc Holtzman's recent w3w3 interview, Marc pointed out the
need for a Colorado Aerospace Advocate, as the industry is responsible
for 1000's of jobs to Coloradoans. Today, the industry has many challenges,
and all of which, have a tremendous impact on the state's economy.
Terry Huffine, the new president of the Colorado Technology Alliance (CTA)
is excited about Trip's appointment. Trip will be in charge of the Aerospace
Council that is part of the recently redefined CTA.
